About Vicki

Vicki Green is a Performing Artist Coach based in Portland, Oregon. She sees clients in person and online across the U.S. and internationally.

Vicki has been a part of the performing and media arts for over 40 years, in a variety of areas including music, theatre, film, and radio. Her decades of training and experience as a studio producer, film producer, director, actor, bandleader, writer, and lifelong multi-genre performing musician eventually led Vicki to put her efforts and talents toward a single focus: an artistic coaching practice dedicated solely to serious performing artists and creatives.

Beginning her formal music instruction at the age of five, Vicki studied piano for the next 10 years with Letty Pericin, then picked up several other instruments on her own. She also developed a love of acting and musical theatre early in her childhood. She performed in productions at Portland Civic Theatre while working intensively with Richard Hurst, Les Sarnoff, and Patrick Torelle, with whom she began her serious study of the Strasberg method.

At Oberlin College, Vicki enjoyed the plentiful arts opportunities that were available to college and conservatory students. Serving as a board member of the Oberlin Student Theatre Association, she produced and appeared in musical and dramatic productions, and studied acting and directing with Arno Selco and Roberta Rude. She also performed regularly at local venues and in live concert broadcasts on WOBC-FM.

Vicki was fortunate to be a part of Oregon’s burgeoning film industry during the 1980s and 1990s. During her long stint as executive producer and producer at Signature Films, Vicki’s projects were recognized in numerous regional, national and international competitions, including the Emmy and CLIO Awards. Soon after, she worked as a freelance studio producer, and was one of the founding producer-writer-partners of a radio production company.

As a firm believer in contributing her time to her professional community, Vicki has been a member of boards of directors for various non-profit cultural organizations. She also frequently serves on judging and mentoring panels for music performance competitions.

In addition to coaching, consulting, and studio producing, among other services, Vicki teaches performing arts-related master classes and workshops for conferences, festivals, schools, organizations, camps, and private groups around the country.
